reno artists coop gallery

If you’re looking for some seriously fascinating goods and you’ve not been to Reno’s Artist’s Co-Op, it’s safe to say you’re definitely missing out. What started as a French laundry service in 1906, this historic building was transformed into the Artists Co-Operative of Reno in May of 1966 and has been dishing up incredible finds in decades since. The initial founders single handedly renovated this charming brick building, launching the first art cooperative state wide, and to this day is the longest continuously operating co-operative gallery in the Silver State.

Countless acclaimed artists have featured their works here, and today, original artwork can be found on display by a whopping 20 local artists. Each artist resides in Northern Nevada and the Sierra, typically drawing inspiration from the dramatic landscapes in the region. Additionally, monthly feature exhibits allow the general public to mingle amongst the artists during public receptions to highlight their most recent works. While the gallery features a vast range of artistic mediums available for purchase, only original pieces are sold, making each find truly unique. Also, if you’re looking for a specific gift, the Artist’s Co-Op enables you to exclusively work with an individual artist to create a personalized piece.

From scenic still lifes, to immaculately crafted pottery, to masterfully worked wooden bowls, to photography, to handmade soaps and jewelry, your shopping experience at the Artist’s Co-Op will be a memorable stop on your next adventure in Reno!
