Lake Tahoe Marathon

There’s no better way to discover one of the most iconic regions in the country than immersing yourself within its shorelines, vistas, and forests. Arguably one of the most scenic marathons in the country, join in on the Lake Tahoe Marathon, a tradition 30 years in the making. This three-day event takes place all around the Lake Tahoe Basin, with events happening in Lakeside Beach in South Lake Tahoe, to Emerald Bay, to Homewood in North Lake Tahoe, and beyond. Whether you’re interested in joining in on the 72-mile Midnight Express Ultra Marathon that laps the entirety of Lake Tahoe, are tough enough to embark on the Tahoe Trifecta or Tahoe Triple events, or are just looking for a fun way to get the whole family outside with the Optimist Kids Pumpkin Fun Run, there’s something for everyone at this Nevada special event.

While a handful of events are held throughout the week, the Lake Tahoe Marathon itself begins Sunday in Homewood and finishes on Lakeside Beach in South Lake Tahoe. If you’re ready for even more of a challenge, get in on the Tahoe Trifecta, which includes the Nevada Half, Carnelian Bay Half, and Emerald Bay Half. Or, register for the Tahoe Triple, which includes the Lakeside Marathon, Cal Neva Marathon, and the Lake Tahoe Marathon. Other events include the 4-person Marathon Relay, the 4-person 72 mile Ultra, the Tahoe Double Marathon, Super Hero 5k, Edgewood 10k, 16.4M, 72-M Ultra Midnight Express, and the Optimist Kids Free Pumpkin Runs. 

The Lake Tahoe Marathon is walker and tune friendly! Medals and shirts will be awarded to finishers of all races at the finish line, and free photos for all athletes are included in your race fee.
