Fans of the Man in Black’s wicked sense of humor will smile at renditions of “Boy Named Sue,” “Delia’s Gone” and other of Johnny Cash’s darkly comedic hits in “Ring of Fire,” a tribute show playing through May 4 at the Eldorado Hotel Casino in Reno.

“Ring of Fire” features Cash’s music reinterpreted by a cast of 10 singer-musicians, who also present short spoken vignettes about his life, including the day he met his future wife, June Carter, in 1956. The set list also includes such poignant Cash-and-Carter tunes as “Far Side Banks of Jordan” and “I Still Miss Someone.”

Cash’s years of personal struggle also are represented through such hits as “Folsom Prison Blues,” “I Walk the Line” and of course, “Ring of Fire.”

“Ring of Fire” is performed at 8 p.m. Tuesday and Friday; at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday; and at 7 and 9:30 p.m. Saturday. Ticket prices start at $24.95; dinner and show packages start at $38.95. Details: 800-648-5966 or www.eldoradoreno.com.
